| About The Old Vicarage Planning a special event or a meal with friends but unsure where to begin? If you’re looking for an intimate setting, Private Dining at The Old Vicarage could be exactly what you’re looking for. Why not let us do the work? Our aim is to welcome you into our home for an evening of relaxation, good food and drink in beautiful surroundings. On arrival you and your party will be escorted to the first reception room where you’ll have pre-dinner drinks and canapés. You will then proceed to the dining room for a relaxing meal with family and friends. Afterwards you will be led into the drawing room for liqueurs and chocolates where you can sit back and reflect. The party organiser will receive a brochure containing the menu, booking conditions and menu choices form. Just return the menu choices form and deposit as soon as possible to The Old Vicarage. That’s it. Leave the rest to us. History Built in 1865 and standing in over three acres of grounds, it truly is a magnificent setting. With its bay window to the extensive gardens it means you can spy on the wildlife, including squirrels, rabbits and moorhens while you relax in total comfort. Having been sold by the church in 1994, the Vicarage has been tastefully restored maintaining many of its original features and now offers guests a taste of Victorian indulgence. Our private dining for parties of between 8 and 12 around one big round table or up to 18 across 3 smaller round tables provides an elegant, intimate setting and is ideal for special occasions. Styled on a traditional British dining room, its gilt framed mirrors, crystal chandelier and open fire add to an unforgettable dining experience. |
